Moustache
The project of a new French publisher of contemporary furniture, this may seem strange, or daring, or totally insignificant when the world is already so full - it looks even saturated - objects, furniture, design. If in addition the editor in question chooses to work with designers and manufacturers who are close to him, in every sense of the word, between geographical proximity and affinities, while the time is globalization, it is ... not a bit anachronistic ? And if the publisher has the ambition to build a network of complicity and expertise, if he thinks that between high-end and standardization proposals remain, desires exist ... we say : is it not madness ?
Founded by Stephane Arriubergé and Massimiliano Iorio, also associate partners Domestic, Moustache proposes to collect affinities by a family of designers capable of feeding its project by designing innovative and honest objects to include sustainable over time. In the interstices of a marked market, Moustache offers a sharp edition where the diversity of approaches and initiatives invited creates the project.
And cohabit in Moustache house, opening all the way to new domestic horizons designers such as François Azambourg, Big Game, Matali Crasset, Ana Mir + Emili Padros and Inga Sempé. Rather than artificially enhance the principle of novelty at any price, the products published by Moustache will attempt to provide a little bit of heritage objects that were once in them and dare sustainability and, why not, the transmission ! Far, however, wear a nostalgic look at the contemporary production of objects, Moustache designs solutions and objects to the way we live to come. At the level of the market, Moustache will attempt to place alongside those who, rejecting some obsolete models of our society, are responsible for the substitute and to invent new ones.
